IMA on War Mode

IMA has been on War path with those govts which hurls nonsense and promulgating non-democratic,non-federal,anti poor and autocratic acts that would cripple the modern medical profession. these successive govts including some state govts,time&again showing their enmity with modern medical fraternity and common man at large. since 1986,when the CPA act came in to the scene,the image of the  medical profession turns up as commercial service and modern doctors as criminals in the eyes of media and the govt! They are forcing our association of modern doctors i.e. IMA as Medical trade union. IMA since two decades demanding the govts for one cause or another. North -South divide ?!

Indian population is growing much faster in the north – and the south is paying the price.   why because,  as per the indian constitution,the number of MP seats are in direct proportionate to the size of the population. Not only that as per the economic commission,the allocation of funds and grants to the states are also in direct proportionate to the population.  Due to dire conditions and poor infra development and lesser job opportunities in high populous states of north india,the exodus of migration towards southern states has been rising year by year. India is one nation.why inter-state immigration is an issue?  Though India is a multi-ethnic, uber-polyglot country of 1.3 billion people, migration across the region caused tensions sharp enough to break the confederation.  why southern states are less populous? because they know,that large people means resources be shared. An Appeal to medical fraternity

Dear colleagues, presidents and secretaries of local IMA branches, Medical profession along with medical education& Medicare are in crisis. To save the profession from the clutches of retrograde undemocratic acts, IMA decided to wage war against faulty &draconian acts and impending bills like NMC. In this war,we,the IMA has won First Battle but you know the War must  Continue to reach our target.   Out of many draconian acts, NMC Bill is the greatest catastrophe to our medical profession. But for the strong intervention of IMA the bill would have been a reality by now. The massive lobbying and the decisive National IMA Surgical Strike on 02.01.2018 could only buy a reprieve of few weeks. Only the sustained resistance from the alert medical fraternity and the medical students can save the profession from the onslaught of the bill.
