IMA on War Mode

IMA has been on War path with those govts which hurls nonsense and promulgating non-democratic,non-federal,anti poor and autocratic acts that would cripple the modern medical profession. these successive govts including some state govts,time&again showing their enmity with modern medical fraternity and common man at large.

since 1986,when the CPA act came in to the scene,the image of the  medical profession turns up as commercial service and modern doctors as criminals in the eyes of media and the govt! They are forcing our association of modern doctors i.e. IMA as Medical trade union.

IMA since two decades demanding the govts for one cause or another.
Thanks to these govts forcibly making us as fighters.

1. we demand suitable amendments in clinical establishment act like -deletion of police representative from DRA and replacing same with our association representative, exempting single doctor establishment; doing away with NABH inspection, suggestion with respect to standard treatment guidelines to be provided by IMA and to define the change in the word ‘to stabilise’);
2. we demand suitable amendments for PNDT act like...graded punishments and non penal provisions for clerical errors,
3. we demand strong central act against violence and
4. we demand  legible capping of compensation  on lines with Drug and cosmetic rules in a clinical trial and not based on patients annual income.
5.We also need to continue our demand for increasing the health budgetary allocation to 5% of GDP;
6. we demand introduction of IMS on lines with IAS;
7.implementation of MCI code of ethics 8.6 to decide professional negligence and misconduct and
8. Jacob Mathew, MCI IMA recommendations on police actions in any alleged criminal negligence;
9.omission for penal provisions on doctors during practice,
10. uniform pay scale for service doctors across the country and better service conditions for doctors and patients in government hospitals.
Our fight should not end but continue till we get our legible rights.
