5,000 post graduate medical seats will be increased in the country.Grab it!

IMA Requests all govt medical colleges in country.... The MOH & MCI had written to all Govt. Medical Colleges to respond for a one time increase in PG seats. its good and needy decision by the Modi govt. The MCI also relaxed its norms – from a professor student ratio of 1:2 to 1: 3. Now for every 30 beds with a faculty of professors/Associate Professors/Assistant Professors one can have three PG students and for a unit of 40 beds with the same faculty strength one can have five PG students. Unfortunately the Govt. medical colleges are not responding as the way they should. “This one-time opportunity should not be lost since if the number of seats are not increased in the Govt. sector, the costly private sector will grab this opportunity and fill up all the seats. SO,IMA Requesting all Deans of Govt. Medical Colleges, send the required information to MCI in time so as to take appropriate decision and timely benefit can go to genuine meritorious and poor students

A Story of microbes & Mammals !

Microbes are destiny makers along with our genes. Right or wrong? Right. Gut bacteria flora is our soul mate. The gut flora affects our health, it decides to whom we shall make friends, lovers and partners. It decides our status of sexual life. It decides our sociability in the community. Sexual reproduction is superior to asexual reproduction, as it is constantly shuffling our genomes helps us stay ahead of the many parasites and pathogens. Sex guarantees the genetic diversity necessary to persevere in a never-ending war, meaning that you can thank  microbes and parasites for the opportunity to  fall in love at all. These microbes change the  chemical structure of  our secretions and excretions. Kissing, aroma of the sweat.breast milk, vaginal secretions, anal passage and birth passage are avenues for transmitting  dallops of microbes to their contacts. people who live together do end up with similar microbiomes. This Valentine’s Day, as you bask in the beauty

Gear Up Tech Buddies... Be intelligent & Make the machines Intelligent !

It’s a big $150 billion Indian   IT   industry which is changing due to automation of processes in their traditional businesses like business process outsourcing (BPO) and application and infrastructure management, which means fewer engineers, will be required at the lower end of the pyramid.     Infrastructure management, server maintenance and client support, for which, companies hired in huge numbers from engineering colleges across the country , which  translated into the creation of thousands of white collar jobs in the country, and a relatively easy opportunity to work on site in the mature markets of US and Europe.   80% of offshore IT jobs and 30%-40% of finance and accounting jobs in India will be eliminated by robotic process automation, which is the application of technology to process a transaction and carry out other tasks . According to a recent World Bank report, automation threatens seven out of 10 jobs in India. So,now The focus the industry had on hiring

New rules for manufacturing medical devices are not good enough....

New rules - notified on January 31, classify medical devices in four classes -- low risk, low moderate risk, moderate high risk and high risk, which may discourage domestic manufacturing of medical devices and is against the "Make in India" policy.  “The purpose of regulations is to filter access to unsafe products and ensure patient safety and consumer protection. But    there's nothing to penalise pseudo manufacturing in these new regulations. Domestic manufacturers need factory inspection, where as its not necessary for  overseas manufacturing plants.its clear cut  discrimination and Surely,It  may result in the closure of some units of domestic (medical device) manufacturing and drive jobs out of India as more manufacturing of high risk high technology devices will switch to imports!   one silver lining is," These rules  remove the need for periodic renewal of licences".

CaNcer ahoy...We can cure cancer 90% !

its a good to hear  we have now been able to refine treatment to such a level that we are able to cure cancers upto 90% in children. In adults also, the progress is very good.  Metronomics is the new mantra in all tumours especially in adult cancers. We are treating patients with standard treatment followed by metronomic maintenance therapy and we are able to cure them without transplant. improved cure rates. in 60s the cure rate is just 10% ,now it is 90%. Second is each patient getting a  personalised treatment based on the genetics of tumour in the patient and other clinical factors.  the advent of targeted agents which basically target the specific driver or abnormality in the genes through which we are able to control the tumour without causing much toxicity.

Hospital owners ..Be aware!

1. The Hospital or firm  claiming the salaries paid to workers as expenses should make the payment by cheque or through digital means to claim tax deduction. This applies to firms and businesses and not to individuals. this move would have a greater bearing on the unorganised and  informal sector . (Though some of the employers could still get away by devising ways to beat the system as the threshold of Rs10000/- was imposed on daily payments. They can split the  salary  into fortnightly or even weekly payment if you want to use a loophole . 2. a clause was inserted, to disallow depreciation if a machinery/ medical equipment worth Rs 10,000 is bought in cash.
