1.Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 being amended to prohibit misleading advertisements of Ayurveda, Siddha & Unani Drugs: 
its an important decision by the govt to save the lives of common man whose ignorance has been exploited by mushrooming herbal and ayush pharma companies.

2. Sale of Medicines through Online Pharmacies: Committee Recommends to evolve a mechanism to register e-pharmacies.Requirement of registration with CDSCO under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945. certain categories of drugs viz. the Narcotic and Psychotropic drugs, tranquilizers, habit forming drugs and Schedule X drugs that are prone to being abused or misused are to be excluded from sale through e-pharmacies.

3. Prices of 50 essential drugs slashed by up to 44%
The calculation for essential drugs is based on the simple average of all medicines in a particular therapeutic segment with sales of more than 1 per cent. In respect of medicines not under price control, manufacturers are allowed to increase the maximum retail price by 10 per cent annually.Prices of over 50 essential drugs including those used for treatment of  HIV infection, diabetes, anxiety disorders, bacterial infections, angina and acid reflux have been capped by the government, leading to a price cut in the range of 5 per cent to 44 per cent.Set up in 1997, The National Drug Pricing Regulator, fix  and revise the prices of pharma products, enforcement of provisions of DPCO and monitoring of prices of controlled and decontrolled drugs.
