Today we have different jurisprudence and discrimination between individual doctors and corporate hospitals

1.       For doctors there are  MCI ethics regulations but for corporate culture they do not come under MCI 2.        Corporate hospitals today are not under any medical regulations 3.       Doctors are not suppose to hire agents or touts but all corporate establishments have marketing departments. 4.       A doctor can be prosecuted under a criminal complaint but a company cannot. 5.       A doctors is not allowed to give rebates and commissions but to a corporate medical establishment there is no bar 6.       A doctor can not advertise but for a medical establishment there is no bar. 7.       If an estimate give is for 50,000 and bill comes to 150,000 the corporate culture is not blamed. The one who is blamed is the treating doctor. [The author Dr K K Aggarwal is HSG of IMA H.Q.  and President Heart Care Foundation of India]

Without a doubt, 2015 will be even more exciting when it comes to 3D printing in the medical field

Medical professionals from all over the globe are beginning to recognize that 3D printing will play a huge role in the future of medicine. for ex. “3D Patient Optimised Surgical Tools (3D POST) developed from 3D printing the CT scans of patients appear to be a promising approach that can help improve the surgical outcomes and reduce the surgical time and blood loss, The typical surgery on a person’s acetabulum is considered to be very challenging and requires a “steep learning curve,” Dr. Bagaria tells 3DPrint.com.  It is a risky surgery because the patient usually suffers significant blood loss. so,  dr.bagaria of nagpur ,  decided to try something relatively new, and use 3D printing technology to try and reduce many of the risk factors, as well as save time and money on the surgery. Creating what is called a “3D patient optimized surgical tool,” or 3D POST, Dr. Bagaria first took a CT scan of the fracture and the surrounding area, before 3D printing a 1:1 scale model of the in

1.  approximately 32,000 babies with Down syndrome are born every year.  Panorama, is a non-invasive prenatal screening test that examines fetal DNA in the mother's blood to assess whether a developing baby is at high risk for having an abnormality in the chromosomes. Panorama uses a simple blood draw from the mother to screen for trisomy 21 (Down's syndrome), trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome), trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome) and select sex chromosome abnormalities, such as monosomy X (Turner syndrome). chromosomal abnormalities occur in about 1 of 700 live births. Infants with these abnormalities have mental retardation and suffer from malformations and disabilities. Due to the large number of births (26 million per year), India has the largest number of babies born with chromosomal disorders in the world (almost 33,000 per year). MedGenome is happy to partner with Natera and launch Panorama, a superior second-generation non-invasive prenatal test. At present non-invasive prenatal

global Oil prices are falling....

India imports around 20crore tonnes of crude oil a year - costing $145 billion a year, or more than a third of its total import bill. With every dollar decrease in oil prices, the government's oil import bill comes down by  Rs.  4,000 crore. Noe present level is at  $52-53 a barrel,a steep fall from  $115 in june-2014. United States and Canada in order to reduce their over dependence on imported oil started exploring other alternatives such as shale gas. Shale usage in US and Canada coupled with the weakening of economies in Asia and Europe led to a sudden fall in oil demand.
