1. 8-hour duty with shift system will be strictly adhered to for PG medical students in Govt medical hospitals but depending on exigencies they have to perform their duty beyond duty hours considering nobility of profession, Tamil Nadu Govt told Madras HC Tuesday. Deputy director of medical education assured court that proper mechanism should be put in place.

2.Harvard likely to study Delhi Mohalla Clinics' success story. 

Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health is likely to study success story of Delhi’s mohalla clinics. It will prepare case study for teaching students how clinics are delivering primary healthcare facilities in neighbourhood. It will help students understand how primary healthcare facilities be diversified to benefit people. MoU is likely to be signed soon.

3. Bridge Courses for Dentists and AYUSH proposed by MPMSU:While MP Govt is planning to start #BridgeCourse for dentists & AYUSH doctors to allow them practicing modern medicine, Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur has proposed to run courses in 13 Govt medical colleges. In letter dashed off by VC of MPMSU Dr RS Sharma to health minister Tulsi Silawat, he said Univ is capable in running crash course.

4.Govt to hold talks with stakeholders on drug trade margins: Govt will initiate discussions on contentious issue of Trade Margin Rationalisation on drugs & medical devices with stakeholders in meeting to be held Friday. Dept of Pharmaceuticals & Drug pricing regulator, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority will discuss issue of TMR with stakeholders, in effort to reduce prices of medicines & medical devices.
