IMA requests all state and central govts,before they frame any rules and regulations regarding health care in our country,please give your good ears to united stand of IMA:

IMA  Clarifies and declares that:

•  Governments have no Locus standi in fixing charges for consultation and procedures in private hospitals and clinics. There are no parameters to measure the skill and expertise of the doctors.
• Criminal proceedings against doctors and hospitals on medical negligence cannot be initiated arbitrarily under the  Clinical Establishment Act.
• In the  absence of appropriate compensatory mechanism, the Governments cannot pass on the responsibility of emergency patients .
• Any law regarding hospitals and clinics should apply equally to Government hospitals and private hospitals and to AYUSH hospitals. 
• Compensation provisions in case of medical negligence should be under one legislation. The advent of Grievance redressal forum as an additional quasi judiciary mechanism is unconstitutional. 
• It is seen that the state is passing on its duty to provide health care to the private sector by default.  A general trend of closure of small and medium private hospitals is already emerging in the country.  
• Such unbearable legislations may push them to extinction resulting in overall rise  in health care cost.  Catastrophic health care costs are the single largest reason for pushing people below poverty line.
• the govt since 2decades making this noble profession as trading and commercial outfit and made the patients as consumers. off late every govt agency and even the media also trying to tarnish clinical practice as criminal practice.
• the govt with so many draconian acts trying to sabotage modern medicine on one side and encouraging the medical seat mafia on another side.
• for all its  glaring deficiencies,the govt pointing its dirty fingers towards private doctors for all evils of not only health care but also for social  evils like increased male female ratio.
• govts stooped to such a low status and trying to dictate private doctors, about what and how to treat the patients. 
• unless govts across the country allocate reasonable budgets and uplift the infra of the primary and sub-centers ,govt can't escape the ire of the public.
• Govts showing  winked eyes  overlooking the drug chain supply and clinical diagnostic infra in rural areas making the rural people slipping into poverty.
• Govts intentionally making the rural people as scape goats by trying to legalise quacks and AYUSH persons to prescribe modern medicines.
• Govt along with media  stamp the modern doctors as licenced killers,licenced looters,licenced traders and so on to belittle the noble profession and thus brand the doctors as major culprits for all bad scenario in country's health.
