Doctors may soon determine a person’s risk of 17 different and unrelated diseases -including Parkinson’s and various cancers – just by taking a quick read of their breath, thanks to a new low-cost and non-invasive device developed by researchers in Israel.

During sleep apnea, the muscles of the throat aren’t able to keep the airway open, causing breathing to start and stops repeatedly throughout the night. So the handheld device-Snoozeal' serves as a tongue “workout” that people use for 20 minutes a day, delivering mild electric pulses (called neuromodulation).
