Its a great idea of CM chandrababu naidu and is a torch bearing move of A.P. govt, to include all citizens in to health care insurance umbrella. its first of its kind in entire country.By just paying Rs.100/-month,every citizen entitled to have Health coverage of Rs.2lacs per anum.Already 65% of people(BPL) had this type of coverage under NTR Vaidya seva,which delivers mind boggling service,giving protection from about 1044 odd diseases.
The health insurance cover is offered up to `2 lakh and end-to-end cashless services would be rendered for 1,044 listed health ailments in any of the 432 corporate hospitals and 80 government hospitals in the state. One can register for the scheme at any of the Mee Seva centres till February 28.

Including the students of medicine, nursing, Clinical psychology and home science to contribute their best for the improvement of public health by visiting villages to prepare disease profiles thereby facilitating better public health management starting from
January 2nd.
A.P. can now claim to be the first State to fulfill that vision,‘health for all’ .
Earlier in december-2016,Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency comprising 265 villages(covering nearly ten lakh people) in Andhra Pradesh became the first area in the country to have health insurance for all from a new born to senior citizens. The ‘Swastha Kutambham’ health insurance scheme launched by Andhra Pradesh Government in association with Tata Trusts covers health for all in the rural areas, and was introduced recently in the villages under Vijayawada MP Constituency.
