Chinna bhai MBBS- "Indian Medical Graduate ....

In this post, major portion is contributed by our most honorable IMA Think tank headed by our most dynamic president of national IMA,  Dr.K.K.Aggarwal Ji....
Before we start, let us express our congratulatory thanks to  "Team IMA one voice".

         What India needs?
We need urgently, Skilled  “Indian Medical Graduate”-IMG.
Not AYUSH persons trained in modern medicine!
what various state govts thought of that any body trained for 6 months can become modern doctor" is a retrograde uncivilized stuff.

Skilled family doctors of modern medicine, for which 5 ½ year MBBS course along with 6months training in rural clinical skills like-treating poisoning cases, dehydration, blood loss&volume loss, first aid to stroke&heart attack&head injury, snake bite, skills in telemedicine to deal with digital equipment, medicolegal implications and community responsibility.

We need such type of  doctors in the ratio of Do(ctor)-Pa(patient) = 1:1000.

How can we achieve this target?

CHANGE the curriculum:
  • Adoption of Contemporary Education Technologies Skills lab, E-learning, Simulation.
  • Before commencing the first year course of MBBS, minimum 2 months of orientation course to orient student to national health scenarios, medical ethics, health economics, learning skills & communication, life support, computer learning, sociology & demographics, biohazard safety, environmental issues and community orientation.
  • A mandatory & desirable comprehensive list of skills has been planned and would be recommended for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Graduate. Certification of skills would be necessary before licensure.
  • Each medical college would be linked to the local health system including CHCs, taluk hospitals and primary health care centers that can be used as training base for medical students.

The Treatment model, every IMG has to follow:
