Medical Council cannot remove the name until Doctor Convicted by Criminal Court: Madras Hight Court. “The question of removing the Doctor’s name from the register of Medical Council would arise only in the event of the Doctor being convicted by the Criminal Court” – Madras High Court. NBE to conduct NEET-SS on 10th June 2017. 

The examination shall be held at various cities on 10th June 2017.  The examination shall be held as a Computer Based Test and shall comprise of 200 Multiple Choice Questions from the MD/MS curriculum .

NEET-SS is a single window entrance examination for entry to DM/MCh/PDCC courses.  No other examination either at state level or institutional level entrance examination conducted by any University /medical colleges /institutions shall be valid as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with effect from 2017 admission session.
DM/MCh/PDCC courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities across the country DM/MCh/PDCC courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions. AIIMS, New Delhi /PGIMER, Chandigarh/ SRICHITRA, Thiruvanathapuram /NIMHANS, Bengaluru  /JIPMER, Puducherry are institutions  not covered by NEET-SS.
