Japanese scientist Yoshinori Ohsumi wins 2016 Nobel medicine prize.

Its  for discoveries related to the degrading and recycling of cellular components,which is otherwise called as autophagy.
Disrupted autophagy has been linked to several diseases including Parkinson’s, diabetes and cancer.
