Sun sustains the life on earth. it not only gives energy to plants but it protects our body from morbidity. How?
Is our skin also behaves like photosynthetic leafs?
Yes ! because our skin contains nitrates and nitrites which when exposed to sun light converted in to nitric oxide which is denominated as magic molecule of life.it also dubbed as Molecule of the Year” by Science magazine in 1992, followed by the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine for its discovery as a signaling molecule in the cardiovascular system. Not only is nitric oxide important in regulating blood pressure, it also functions as a signaling molecule in your brain and immune system
We need Sun light ?..... Why & how???
- Ultraviolet-B (UV-B) radiation from sunlight produces our major source of vitaminD .
- Improved mood and energy levels through the release of endorphins.
- Better melatonin regulation and synchronization of your biorhythms.
- Suppression of the symptoms of fibromyalgia and multiple sclerosis.
- Treating skin diseases (including psoriasis, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, and scleroderma) and antibiotic-resistant infections, such as MRSA.
- Treating tuberculosis, neonatal jaundice, and possibly T cell lymphoma.
- Light stimulates suprachiasmatic nucleus and then pineal gland to secrete enough melatonin and synchronise circadian rythms with light&dark. Because our internal clock's period is not exactly 24 hours, we need environmental cues—most importantly, light— to reset the clock each morning and keep the organism in sync with the external world.
- (Remember we need enough L-Arginine in blood vessels to convert as nitric acid.)
