HBI demands govt to empanel small hospitals in NTR Aarogya seva.

what to do?

By    putting huge pressure on private doctors by introducing non-compliable draconian acts like fire safety,CE regulation, PNDT act,Labor welfare act, drugs regulation act,etc...  govt indirectly encourages Closure of  Small and Medium size hospitals and forcing private doctors to Join Government service / Corporate service. govt   also makes plans to bypass the MBBS stream medicare and putting half knowledged personnel through the back door  entry courses  like B.Sc comunity care. on one side, govt allows mushrooming of medical colleges especially in south india where already all colleges are overflowing but on another side, the govt kills the medical profession. almost 70% intermediate students dislikes to take biology  courses and displaying aversion to medical profession. what our IMA or any other medical association  is doing is not sufficient to stem the rot. we have to do  out of box thinking and  the need of t...

Let us clear the Air

Reviving the rural economy should be a major challenge for the Modi government.

Land, the most precious form of wealth and the most dependent chunk for livelihood for  70%Indians is once again in cross fire between protagonists of  industral development and of proponents of  inclusive growth. But, what we have achieved in the last 6decades in respect of farming&farmers,is just a pittance of development. see the big picture here. A major survey finds that almost half the respondents don’t want to continue with agriculture. To say frankly, land acquisition is not the biggest  worry for majority of farmers but  the major problem is the unpredictable weather and the dependence on monsoons even to this day and inadequate infrastructure i.e.irrigation,power supply, supportive  prices and quality seed. It is no wonder that the survey indicates that more than one-fifth (22 per cent) of the farmers have begun to dislike farming. 70%farmers were willing to leave farming if they found jobs in the city. More than one-third (37 per ce...
