- As per Supreme Court ruling, the fee has to be revised for every three years.
- There are 24 private general medical colleges and 19 dental colleges in the A.P.state.
- The Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee, headed by retired judge Justice Krishna Mohan Reddy, has to decide the fee structure for three academic years- 2014-17,which is probably hiked to the tune of 15-20 per cent (on an average) from this year.
- The fee structure is being divided in three categories namely A (50%Convener quota); B (10%Convener-cum-management) and C (40%management). The existing fee per annum per student is: Rs 60,000 for A; Rs 2.40 lakh for B and Rs 5.5 lakhs for C category seats.
