India in Doldrums -part2

If any person expends Rs.1000/- per month for consumption of food and goods (food, clothing, footwear, durables, education and health.),he is not poor-as per one survey report-Tendulkar committee report). As per the above formula, our country has 25 crore poor people , other wise,5 crore poor families. But,Why does UPA want to feed 67% through food security bill, if only 22% of India is poor?
welfare schemes with out corruption,is what india needs!

Estimated expenditure of our government for the year 2013-14 as per the Union Budget - Rs.16 lac crores. Of this, 5lac crores goes to welfare schemes with sizable pilferage.

Did you know that there are actually just 3.5 crore income tax payers in India? There are just 42,800 persons , who admitted as a taxable income exceeding Rs 1 crore per year."

In other words, every 1 in 10 among the Indian youth is unemployed! the remaining 9 are under employed.

As the government expenditures increase and the revenues fail to keep up, the extra burden will fall mostly on the sincere and honest tax payers

Most people don't realize it, but a number of new ways have already been devised and put into action to extract more money from normal people...

  • Power companies charge extra bill for electricity used 2 or 3 years back:
  • the municipal bodies in many towns and cities are targeting local residents with higher property taxes not for development, but just for their survival.
  • Railway charges increased through indirect route: Even though the basic fares had been left unchanged on the paper, people like us now have to pay more as the charges for everything else have been increased.
  • Service taxes- Unlike income or wealth taxes which are payable only if you have income or wealth, service tax is levied on expenditure and is applicable to everybody.
Over the years, the rate of service tax has increased from 5% to 10% to 12%, plus a 2% "education cess" and a 1% "secondary and higher education cess".
We are currently paying service taxes on almost everything from mobile bill to broadband bill to hotel bill and so on.Many restaurants unknowingly levy a service tax on the entire bill amount, instead of on 40% of the amount like they are supposed to.
  • Higher taxes on entertainment:  It goes almost 50% of the gross ticket value.
  • 1% Wealth Tax if the market value of certain assets exceeds Rs 30 lakhs . who earn more than Rs 25 lakhs in a year need to mention all their assets including land, buildings, bank accounts, shares and securities, cash advances, vehicles, insurance policies, jewelry and paintings.
  • Retrospective taxing of companies:
