The following courses will help doctors, in taking critical decisions in emergency departments of tertiary care super specialty hospitals and in peripheral rural or disaster zones.
1. The PCPNDT law expects a doctor to go for training in ultrasound Technic , before buying an USG machine. so,its mandatory to undergo certificate course in ultrasonography.
2. As far as as trauma and emergency medicine is concerned 1 day certification courses are regularly being held at AIIMS trauma centre for different levels to appraise the doctor in deciding, whether the patient needs surgical emergency treatment or not.
These courses are being supported by Govt .
( the first international congress on emergency ultrasound was held in Delhi last year).
3. one can attend ATLS course in Gujarat - (details on www.atls.in )- which demands only 3 days to help one equip with proper structure of managing life threatening traumas and emergencies.
Remember, Doctors willing to become trainers and spread the knowledge in their region are more than welcome as they are going to be guided and well supported.
