APPA.. APPA... ALL THE WAY TO SUCCESS ...

IM’A’PPA

APPA’s success is IMA’s victory!
  • ·        Inception of “Hospital board of India” at national level to safe guard the interests of private medicare.
If any new medical graduate wants to start private practice, he has to comply with 200 acts & regulations at local, state and national level.
The authorities thinking that all private doctors are bandicoots.
The common man feels that he has been thoroughly exploited by private doctors.
The media provokes ill feelings towards private health care system.
Almost all doctors are in pathetic situation and gloomed in the oblivion of insecurity.
Economical insecurity, emotional insecurity and professional insecurity… what could be done to provide peaceful ambience to the medical fraternity?
Then comes the visionary of Indian medical association under the agile & shrewd leadership of DR.N.APPA RAO.
He envisioned and structured the socio-political trade arm  of IMA at national, state and branch level to negotiate and fight against draconian regulations at national and state level.
Some ask, What can HBI do to private doctors?
HBI facilitates doctors to get insurance empanelment, to get authentication of NABH & NABL and to procure good quality equipment for reduced prices and guide hospitals to comply with biowaste disposal and  hospital registration process.

We have APNA to look-after the interests of private hospitals. Why there is another outfit?
Actually we can’t comment on another association or organization. But when the functional comparision comes on to the scene, its our responsibility to support our cause.  With out going in to deeper disturbing  facts, We can say in single sentence that APNA’s functionality limits to our state only, where as our IMA’s HBI has wider and national platform to negotiate all type of ACTs & regulations imposed by central or state govt.
Please remember that HBI is socio-political arm of our IMA to protect the private doctors in all ways by all means.

So, its minimum responsibility of every IMA member having private clinc, lab or hospital must be obliged to affiliate with IMA’s Hospital board of India.

  •  APPA to the rescue of lacks of students...

AP: Eamcet 2012 is on as NEET stayed by HC

As the Andhra students have no quota of seats at national level, there is no additional advantage for Andhra students except problem of competing with national students with CBSE syllabus.

The extra tedious syllabus has to be inserted two years before the conduction of national level exam to make the competition even for all students.

Lacks of students are in confusion state. Even state govt. is not trying to clear the doubts of students. The govt hesitated even to file its opinion in judiciary.

At this juncture Indian medical association under the leadership of Dr.N.Appa Rao taking a proactive step and filed a writ petition in the  High Court and pleaded that the students can be protected from the violation of Article 371 (D) of the Constitution.

The leading dailys stated as follows :

Responding to a petition filed by Indian Medical Association (IMA) member Dr. N Appa Rao and four other students, the court said that the stay would continue till the final disposal of the case.

In his petition, Dr. Appa Rao said that the state's students would suffer because of the single medical entrance test designed by the Medical Council of India (MCI) for admissions to the MBBS course.

The court issued notices to the MCI, the AP government, the Union Health Ministry and others on the issue.

The high court  issued the order on a petition filed by Indian Medical Association member Dr N Appa Rao and four students seeking exemption of AP students from having to sit for the NEET examination rather than Eamcet. The petitioners stated that students from the state would stand to lose medical college seats due to the national-level examination as seats were not allotted to students from AP in medical colleges in other states. They appealed that NEET would violate Article 371 (D) of the Constitution. They also wanted the court to direct the state government to clear the confusion over Eamcet 2012.

Providing relief to students, Andhra Pradesh High Court today stayed the National eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for the undergraduate medical course in the state. Justice Vilas Afzalpurkar, in response to a writ petition filed by N Appa Rao and four others, formerly associated with Indian Medical Council, stayed NEET implementation in the state and posted the matter for hearing after four weeks. The petitioners had stated that introduction of NEET from the current academic year would greatly affect interests of Andhra Pradesh students. NEET would be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in April-May 2012 under the auspices of MCI and the medium would be English and Hindi. As many as 65,000 students appear for the medical seats of the Eamcet Exam every year in which nearly 25,000 write the exam in Telugu, according to sources.

A.P. state Health minister D L Ravindra Reddy welcomed the stay order and stated that Eamcet 2012 will be held as per schedule and students can continue their preparations without any doubts.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and State Medical Minister Revendra Reddy had written to the Centre to defer introduction of NEET in the state by two years.

  • BOMMANA brothers Vs IMA AP STATE:
Like Camel and sheik story, few years back bommana’s entered our IMA AP state’s building, which is strategically located in busy commercial locality of koti area of hyderabad, for a meager rent of 10000/- per month.

Time has  passed. Inflation has been rising. Rents in koti area raised many fold. But, Bommana’s never raised the rent in spite of number of requests and demands of IMA.
Number of IMA leaders pursued the matter in and out of the court. But they were not succeeded.
With the timely intervention of Dr .N.Appa Rao, who reconstituted the legal counselors and revamped the legal strategy and thus achieved the great judicial victory over the  bommana brothers. This achievement is notable in the history of STATE IMA and its going to fetch sizable recurrent revenue for our IMA.

These are the few victories in the past 6 months, he has achieved for our association. He is one man army. He is the general, he is the captain and he is the soldier.
He is dedication personified. His will to serve the association and his sincere concern for the welfare of doctors is commendable. He applied his mind and soul to the association. This type of dedication  was never seen in the past and wouldn’t be seen in the future. He is the only one. The numero Uno in the service of IMA.

“He is the precious part of our lives.
He inspires us to perspire today.
He gives us reason & confidence to excel in future.
He shows direction, he strikes correction.
What else we can give to him except to follow in his foot-steps”.

Yes, It’s a routine for us to proclaim that he is this and that and some body even commented of psychofancy.
But truth is stranger and greater than criticism.
