335 medical colleges - one ALL INDIA MBBS CET from 2012.

Come next academic session, (from 2012 ) , students seeking to get into a medical school for an MBBS degree, will have to appear for the all india CET.

 The Union health ministry and the MCI reached a consensus last week ( 3rd.week of july-2011 ) to roll out CET for admission to all government and private medical colleges and deemed universities for undergraduate medical education.

 The new syllabus of physics, chemistry and biology, prepared by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), will be on the MCI website till August 11 for public comment.

Admissions for undergraduate medical degree will be open in 335 medical colleges - 185 private and 150 in the government sector in the 2012 academic session, which starts in May-2012.

Around 8-10 lakh students are expected to take the country's first medical UGCET."

NOTE: 
1. EVERY STUDENT WHO IS SEEKING  UG &  PG seat , ( even those opting for management quota seats in private colleges ) MUST APPEAR FOR THIS NEET EXAM in 2012 .

2. A.P. will join in NEET-2012.
But it will not give seats for all india under 15% quota as far as today's policy.
Those who have studied their MBBS in A.P., they will become local students of A.P.
 After the exam you will get both national ranking and respective state ranking of your opted choice you choosed in  NEET exam application .
